Charité

In the fall of 2018…

We heard of a little girl at another orphanage who was a miracle. For months, she had survived with uncorrected spina bifida in conditions where no child should live. Charité was transferred into our care and we began discussions with people from all over the world about surgical intervention. Neurosurgeons from the US, France and throughout Africa all echoed the same thing: CURE Hospital in Uganda is the best. With expedited passports in hand, Charité boarded a plane to Uganda with two Mwana staff members and received world-class treatment at CURE. Her health remains stable to this day, and Charité has thrived in every sense of the word.

Charité is in the final stages of an adoption process with a wonderful family. Now named Kameron, we are eager for her to join her forever family very soon!
