make a difference for a mwana child!

We invite you to be an advocate for Mwana by thinking out of the box for how you can fundraise! Share with us YOUR creative idea to support Mwana! Below are a few ways Mwana partners around the world have supported us:

  • “Movie Night” Gather your friends (a great kid-friendly event) for an outdoor screening of your favorite film with pizza and popcorn

  • Lemon-aid stand: most effective when it’s advertised as “FREE lemonade, Donations welcome!”

  • School fundraisers: bake sales, water filter challenge, class sponsorships, donation drives and more!

  • Restaurant night: invite your neighborhood restaurant to donate 10-20% of sales

  • Percentage of sales from local or online shops to Mwana

  • Hand-crafted jewelry, Yoga sessions, Sourdough bread making classes, Dog-walking, Origami art, and more! We love seeing your creativity in action!

This year, I wanted to do something meaningful to celebrate my 40th birthday... so I hosted a Sushi & Sake Cocktail at my house and invited all my friends, family and neighbors to celebrate with me. Instead of gifts, I asked them to donate to this charity which I am passionate about, and they got a tax receipt in return... win/win!! Everyone loved being part of something so meaningful!
